Kat Meadows - President
Kat Meadows - whipping databases into submission since 1998.
Kat has been consorting with SQL Server since 1998 in an effort to rid the world of select *s and db_owner rights for everyone. Over the years, Kat has successfully blazed a trail from manufacturing to dotcoms to military and government institutions. Currently, as the Senior DBA, Manager, and SQL Goddess of the Database Service team for El Paso County, Kat primarily focuses on strategic planning, SQL Server database development and administration. Not to mention keeping her fun-loving team out of trouble. Kat is also the President of the Colorado Springs SQL Server User Group, a tech-editor, and an awesome baker of all-things chocolate. Kat possesses a Bachelor's degree in Managing Information Systems from Colorado Technical University and a serious knack for finding those little database havoc-wreaking gremlins.
Dear Members and Visitors,
First, I would like to start by thanking Eric Johnson and Marc Beacom for their service over the past several years on the board. Their vision and leadership will be missed. I would like to welcome Andy Dykstra to the position of VP of Membership. I am looking forward towards the next two year serving as the president of the group. I will be spending the next couple of weeks meeting with Eric, Marc, and the current board members to come up to speed on the current status of the group and getting direction for the future. If you have ideas, comments, etc. please feel free to email me at katmeadows@gmail.com.
I hope to meet everyone at the upcoming user group meetings.
Thank You,
Kat Meadows
